Nestled into a hillside overlooking Lake Sammamish, this residence repurposes an existing foundation, and by keeping the footprint tidy and building up, the structure captures natural light and views. The new framing package increased the interior heights, while reworking the function of the spaces. A third level library brings a strong vertical element to the composition, and a new garage volume emphasizes the horizontal. Aluminum rainscreen and corrugated metal siding systems bookend the primary façade, and warm cedar siding welcomes visitors to the entry.
