FREMONT URBAN INFILL
The project is an excellent example of urban infill and focuses on a blank lot in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood. The 30’ wide by 100’deep lot is sandwiched between two existing buildings and allows for approximately 13,000 square feet of new commercial space. Phase one of design involves a Seattle Municipal Code study and a Seattle Building Code study to determine the parameters, limitations and possibilities of a potential building on the site. A series of thorough diagrams document the findings and conclusions of the code study and two possible schematic building designs. Design factors include connection points with the existing building, restaurants, rooftop decks and interactive terraces.
