BUILD was tasked with preliminary design and feasibility services for a large mixed use complex on a prominent site in the emerging town center of Montlake Terrace. BUILD created a modern structure with (18) condominium homes and 7800 square feet of ground floor commercial space with parking underground. The design is viewed as an opportunity to implement a uniquely modern solution using the recently overhauled land use regulations. The project expands on our sustainability and forward thinking tenets developed in previous projects. BUILD’s schematic design focused on site orientation, filtering of natural light and the relationship of interior and exterior space. BUILD worked closely with the client to devise construction costs, overall project costs and projected sales values.
